As per an article in the SAN, Aurora Innovation has launched the first fully driverless semi-truck on public highways in Texas, completing 1,200 miles between Dallas and Houston with no safety driver aboard. Its first customers, Uber Freight and Hirschbach Motor Lines, tested the technology, now called the “Aurora Driver,” which features sensors capable of tracking four football fields in length and a smart system designed to improve road safety. CEO Chris Urmson hailed the milestone as historic
